Well, Cubo P is just the name of a switchboard range.
What it really is, is a modular clip and pin system used to construct an outdoor switchboard, in whatever configuration required, to keep the switchgear out of the weather in an IP67 & IK08 enclosure.
This has proven to be a faster, more customisable way for us to build IP rated switchboards that are competitive with stainless or other non-metallic outdoor switchboards. Cubo P has come together for us to build MSBs with changeover switches, outlet boards, and residential switchboards.
Need a meter & distribution board with extra cable duct? - Cubo P
Need an outdoor MSB with 24ways and controls panel? - Cubo P
Need an outdoor fuel pump board with panel indicators? - Cubo P
Need distribution & smart meter in color-matched enclosure? - Hold my beer
I think you get the idea.
Some say it's like Meccano or LEGO to construct; however, if you managed a Duplo block complex back in the day, you should be able to come up with your own Cubo P construction.

Also had a meltey switchboard.
Things have progressed over the years, not just at old MacDonald's farm, but in lifestyle blocks and small farm holdings. These progressions in technology and machinery are to keep up with the times (and possibly the Joneses'), and with all improvements going well, should allow more of a quiet spell in the evenings.
Improvements we have seen in this market are:
- A new irrigation & pump system upgrade
- M/O/G inlet has been installed
- The meter board had an upgrade
- VSD and UPS to keep the power steady
- Remote control gates installed
- Has been thinking about adding solar, just haven't cleared that shed out yet.
- There is still a 50 year old main switchboard on the wall in said shed...
A switchboard will often hum away quietly in the shed for a number of years until it takes the main part. No rhythm, wrong pitch and a smelly circuit breaker. Old MacDonald had a shed. Again
In an endeavour to modernize or update systems, the main switchboard can get overlooked. This can lead to an overload on the circuits and no future proofing. As more modern upgrades draw more power and demand quality power, the more it makes sense to tidy up the shed.

Hard to believe that some of our EV charging distribution boards are going on two or three years in service! No fuss, no bother, no tantrums.
Over the course of a three year period, we have completed around 10 of these EV charging distribution boards to Z EV stations around the Waikato, Auckland and down to Christchurch. While they may not look like much, they do provide the charger bowsers with slow, medium or fast charging capabilities.
While it seemed to be the other day when E.V charging (and all things E.V) were being discussed and dissected throughout our industry, one observation since then is that its not going away anytime soon. We have also completed at least another 8 more E.V charging distribution switchboards for hospitals, DOC sites, commercial complexes and hotels.
